Locally driven, over the range in the dark
A locally driven transfer service covering Lithgow and the mountains either side of it, run on fixed fares paid in advance — and priced so the closer airport is the cheaper one.
Why we exist
Getting to an airport from Lithgow and the mountains has always been awkward. The train down the range does not start early enough for a morning departure and takes the better part of three hours when it does run. Rideshare effectively does not exist west of the upper mountains after dark. Long-term parking at Mascot costs more for a fortnight than the return transfer does. And the shared-shuttle model — the one that collects five other households before it points at the airport — turns a two-hour drive into most of a day.
So the service is built the other way round. Every trip is private. The vehicle comes to your door and goes to the terminal, with nobody else in it. The fare is fixed at the time of booking and does not move afterwards, whatever the traffic on the range or at the Sydney end does. Payment in advance holds the vehicle for you, so on a long run over the range there is never a question of whether the car will come.
The thing that makes this district different is Western Sydney International. Coming down off the range you turn for Badgerys Creek before you reach the Sydney motorways, so WSI is closer than Mascot from every suburb we serve — and the drive is untolled. We price that honestly: the WSI fare is sixty dollars under the Sydney Airport fare from the same door. We are not aware of another operator on this side of the mountains that passes the shorter drive back rather than charging the same for both.
Sixty-five suburbs, from the Hartley valley at the foot of Victoria Pass up through Lithgow and its villages, out to Wallerawang, Portland and the Capertee country to the north, into the Wolgan and Capertee valleys, and across the upper Blue Mountains from Mount Victoria and Blackheath down to Katoomba and Leura. We also serve the small settlements most operators will not — if there is a sealed road to your door we will quote it, and often when there is not.
We operate as an accredited booking service under the NSW Point to Point Transport (Taxis and Hire Vehicles) Act. Vehicles are commercially registered and insured for the carriage of passengers for hire and reward, and drivers hold current NSW driver authorisations. Our accreditation number appears in the site footer and on every tax invoice.
Fixed means fixed. If your flight is delayed and the driver waits an hour, the fare does not change. If the highway over the range is closed and we go the long way round, the fare does not change. If your 4am pickup falls on Christmas Day, the fare does not change. The only thing that alters a quoted price is you changing the trip — a different suburb, a different terminal, more passengers than we planned a vehicle for.

These are our own transfers — the van at the Sydney Airport kerb, a full boot of the group’s suitcases, and customers dropped right at their cruise ship.
