How we work

Six things that are true on every Kanimbla booking

01

The price is the price

Quoted before you commit and unchanged afterwards. No surge at 4am, no toll line on the receipt, no airport levy surprise.

02

Paid in advance, locked in

Payment in advance confirms the booking and holds your vehicle: card or PayID, or cash by arrangement, with no card surcharge.

03

We watch the flight, not the clock

Inbound trips are keyed to your flight number. If you land ninety minutes late the driver is still there, at no extra cost.

04

Child restraints included

Capsules, seats and boosters fitted before we leave the depot. Tell us the ages when you book; there is no hire charge.

05

Yours alone

The drive itself

Kanimbla to the terminal, end to end

The road we take

From Kanimbla we head out through the Kanimbla Valley to the Great Western Highway near Hartley, then up Victoria Pass. That is about 135 km door to terminal and around 2 hr 20 min when the road is clear.

On timing, the long part of this run is the mountain crossing — the climb to Mount Victoria and the descent of Victoria Pass — then the M4 and the airport precinct at the Sydney end. The highway itself is rarely the problem, and an early start misses the lot. We build that into the pickup time rather than discovering it on the day.

Where we collect you in Kanimbla

Most Kanimbla pickups start around no centre, scattered farms, though the service is door to door and we collect from any address in the suburb. residents and farmers

Working backwards from your flight

The question we are asked most is what time the car should be at the door. We aim to have you at the terminal about two hours before a domestic departure and three hours before an international one, then add the drive and a traffic buffer on top.

From Kanimbla, a 6:00am departure usually means a pickup around 1:40am. An 8:00am flight is closer to 3:40am, and a midday departure around 7:40am. Give us the flight number and we will set the exact minute rather than the estimate.

Coming home again

Coming the other way, we track your flight number from the moment it leaves its origin. If you land late the pickup moves with it and there is no charge for the wait. Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with your name on a sign, takes the cases, and drives straight back to Kanimbla without detours or additional passengers — which after 2 hr 20 min in the other direction on a long-haul day is most of the point.

Cruises from Kanimbla

The two Sydney cruise terminals sit on opposite sides of the harbour and the difference matters when you are working out a departure time. The Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is about 134 km from Kanimbla, roughly 2 hr 20 min. White Bay at Rozelle is about 129 km, roughly 2 hr 15 min. Both are quoted as fixed fares and both include help with the cases at the kerb, which matters more with cruise luggage than airline luggage.

Groups, corporate travel and events

Beyond the airport runs we carry wedding parties, conference groups and work crews out of Kanimbla and the surrounding the Hartley valley area. Account billing is available for regular corporate travel, and the eleven-seat minibus means a group of that size travels together rather than splitting across three cars and three fares.

On arrival

Finding your driver

Switch your phone on as you taxi in. Your driver messages you with the exact spot before you reach the carousel.

T1 · International

Leave the arrivals hall and walk straight ahead into the P7 car park. Inside, follow the signs to the rideshare and pre-booked pickup area on the left. We allow up to an hour from touchdown at no charge.

T2 · Jetstar and Virgin

Exit arrivals, cross toward the P1 walkway, take the first right at the priority and express pickup sign and follow the covered walkway through. We allow forty minutes from touchdown.

T3 · Qantas

Exit arrivals, cross at the lights, continue along the P1 walkway and take the first left into the priority pickup area. We allow forty minutes from touchdown.

Western Sydney Airport has a single terminal with pre-booked pickup directly opposite arrivals, so the walk is considerably shorter than anything at Kingsford Smith.

Questions

Kanimbla airport transfers, answered

How much is an airport transfer from Kanimbla?

It is fixed at $369 one way for one or two passengers to Sydney Airport, rising to $489 for a group of eleven in a single minibus. Tolls, GST, luggage and child seats are included, and the price does not change once it is quoted.

How long does it take to get from Kanimbla to Sydney Airport?

About 2 hr 20 min for the 135 km in normal conditions. We go out through the Kanimbla Valley to the Great Western Highway near Hartley, then up Victoria Pass. The long part of this run is the mountain crossing — the climb to Mount Victoria and the descent of Victoria Pass — then the M4 and the airport precinct at the Sydney end. The highway itself is rarely the problem, and an early start misses the lot. We add a buffer to the pickup time rather than to the drive.

What time will you pick me up in Kanimbla for a 6am flight?

Around 1:40am. We target the terminal about two hours before a domestic departure and three hours before an international one, then add the drive and a traffic allowance. Give us the flight number and we will set the exact time.

Is Western Sydney Airport closer to Kanimbla?

Yes — WSI is about 98 km from Kanimbla, roughly 1 hr 55 min, against 135 km to Kingsford Smith. Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek is the closer of the two airports from Kanimbla — you come down off the range and turn for Badgerys Creek without pushing on into the city — so it is both a shorter drive and a lower fixed fare. The fixed fare to WSI is $309, sixty dollars under the $369 to Kingsford Smith.

Do you run cruise transfers from Kanimbla?

We do. The Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is about 134 km from Kanimbla (roughly 2 hr 20 min) and White Bay is about 129 km (roughly 2 hr 15 min). Both are fixed-fare and both include help with the cases at the kerb.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

There is no separate deposit: the fixed fare is paid in advance to confirm your booking and lock in the vehicle, by card or PayID, or cash by arrangement. A tax invoice is emailed if you want one.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight number, so the pickup moves automatically with it. There is no charge for a delayed arrival — we allow an hour from touchdown at T1 and forty minutes at T2 and T3, measured from when the aircraft actually lands rather than when it was scheduled to.

Are child seats available?

Yes, and at no extra cost. Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters are fitted before we leave, so tell us the ages of the children when you book rather than on the morning.

Can you fit our whole group in one vehicle from Kanimbla?

Up to eleven passengers, yes — one minibus, one fare of $489. That is almost always cheaper than two or three separate cars and it keeps the group together, which matters more than the money when there is a check-in deadline.

Do you cover the outlying parts of Kanimbla?

Yes. The fare is the same whether you are in the centre near no centre, scattered farms or on an outlying road. If your driveway is long, unsealed or unlit, mention it when you book and we will confirm exactly where the driver should stop.

How far ahead should I book?

Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, and further ahead for a minibus or over school holidays and the Christmas period. Last-minute requests are worth a call — we can often cover them.

Which suburbs near Kanimbla do you serve?

We cover Little Hartley, Hartley, Hartley Vale, Dargan and the rest of the Hartley valley. We cover the whole Lithgow district and the upper Blue Mountains — see the full list of suburbs.

Can I get the train from Kanimbla to Sydney Airport?

Not directly. There is no train from Kanimbla straight to the airport: you would first get to a station on the Blue Mountains Line, such as Lithgow or Katoomba, ride to Central, then change to the T8 Airport & South Line. Allowing for the trip to the station it usually takes three hours or more, and a station access fee applies at the airport stations. For a dawn flight the first trains may not get you there in time.

Is there a shuttle bus timetable from Kanimbla to Sydney Airport?

There is no regular airport bus timetable from Kanimbla. Our shuttle is a private, door-to-door transfer booked around your flight rather than a timetable: we collect you from home in Kanimbla and drop you at your terminal, and we confirm the pickup time when you book.

What is the cheapest way to get from Kanimbla to Sydney Airport?

For one person travelling light, the train usually has the lowest fare, but it means changing at Central and carrying your bags. For two or more people, or an early flight, a fixed fare often works out better: $369 covers one or two passengers door to door, and $489 covers up to eleven, under $45 each.

Is a shuttle cheaper than an Uber or taxi from Kanimbla to Sydney Airport?

Rideshare and taxi fares change with demand, time of day and tolls, so you only know the price once you travel. Our Kanimbla fare is fixed when you book: $369 for one or two passengers, with tolls, GST, luggage and child seats included, and there is no surcharge for early mornings or late nights.
